Well, it had to happen. Despite having another birthday on the 9th, and the release of yet more games for the platform, Sega has firmly, sternly said that sorry kids, they're kicking the baby out of the house for good (Japanese press release). No more GD-ROM's being pressed, no more repairs performed or parts stocked, that's it. RIP Dreamcast.... but now it enters its golden years!
